EX series card I/O consists of adapter module, I/O module, power supply module, and terminal module. 

Adapter modules are used to expand different types and numbers of I/O modules by converting standard communication buses to the communication buses of the product modules. 

The adapters can support a variety of communication buses, such as PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, DeviceNet, ModbusRTU, PROFIBUS-DP and so on.

I/O modules can be divided into digital input modules, digital output modules, analog input modules, analog output modules and function modules.

 The input IO module collects the field signals and sends them to the network adapter through the internal bus; the controller reads and processes the data from the adapter through the field bus and writes the output data to the network adapter, and then the network adapter can write the output data to the output IO module through the internal bus, so as to realize the control of the field devices. 

Users can match according to the actual needs of the site, in which the digital input module, I/O module and analog input module ports are designed with external power supply interface, which can provide power for the sensors on the site, without the need to add additional terminal blocks, and can support two-wire and three-wire sensors. The maximum number of I/O points of a single module is 32 points, and a single adapter can be expanded by a maximum of 32 I/O modules. 

The modules are designed with a wealth of diagnostic functions and status indicators, so that users can easily identify the current operating status of the module.
